CAN I VIBECODE

Zight?

KINDAYou can build the valuable core, but the established product has meaningful operational complexity. Pick one narrow promise for v1.

BUILD FIRST

  1. One specific customer type and one primary use case
  2. A vertical slice that completes the main job without manual workarounds
  3. Visible limits, review steps, and a fallback when an external dependency fails

LEAVE FOR LATER

  1. Broad third-party integrations
  2. High-scale collaboration, syncing, and permissions
  3. Automation that can cause harm without human review

RESEARCH NOTES

What this tool actually does.

Checked 2026-09-06

Zight is a visual communication tool for screen recordings, screenshots, GIFs, and AI-generated guides shared through links; it also supports requesting a recording back from another person.

RESEARCHED BUILD PROMPT

Give this to your coding agent.

Build a focused visual-support sharing tool. Do not copy Zight's brand, proprietary assets, name, logo, UI, or copy. Let a user capture a selected window or screen with optional webcam/microphone, take an annotated screenshot, or create a short GIF from a fixture; save the asset locally; and publish a time-limited read-only link through a mock storage adapter. Add title, comments, delete/expiry, transcript placeholder, and an optional request link that lets a recipient record a response without an account in a fixture flow. Show permissions and privacy. Out of scope: meeting recording, full cloud media processing, team libraries, automatic PII redaction, and broad integrations. Include a README with setup, codecs, permissions, storage model, tests, and limitations.
